毎年world press photoの受賞作品を見ると感心させられる。よく撮れるものだと感心させられたり、こんなことが起こっていたのかと感心させられたりと、自分の無力に気付くものだ。
その中でいくつか気になったものをピックアップしてみる。

まずよく撃たれなかったなと思った。インドにいた時よく出てくる写真もあり、この人が撮っていたのかという驚きがあった。

始めてアブハジアという国を知った。私はこういった作品が好きです。なんだかアレック・ソスのドッグデイズボゴダを彷彿とさせる作品。

tuaregとは北アフリカ辺りの遊牧民の様な人達のことだそうだ。始めて知った。バンドの写真があるからこそこの写真郡は素晴らしいと思う。それは彼らのアイデンティティを象徴してリウ物だと思うからだ。

テレビの中の映像と何故だか外の風景にもの凄い違和感を感じる。オリンピックを通して中国が見えてくるとまでは言えないが、何だかほんとにみんな待ち望んでたのか？という疑問を抱く。単純に面白い

撮影現場の緊張感を何故だか感じる。未だに奴隷なんてものがフランスに残っている事に驚いた。

こういったソーシャルなテーマの作品を見るというツも作者が溶けていく様な感覚を覚える。もの凄くひかれる。てか、日本人だったとは驚いた今。
